Simon Sayer is the Global Coordinator and Head of Structured Trade and Export Finance EMEA in the Global Transaction Banking Division (GTB) of Deutsche Bank, based in London.

In this role, Simon is responsible for delivering medium- and long-term trade and export finance solutions for the bank’s client base in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He also coordinates the business globally, leading STEF teams based in Dubai, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan and Paris.

Simon has originated and arranged over EUR 25 billion of export finance transactions over the last 10 years. He is a Member and Leader of the Funding Group, Export Finance Committee of the British Bankers Association and a regular guest speaker at industry events and conferences

Simon began his career in various roles covering trade and export finance, as well as some capital markets products for clients in Latin America. Four years spent working in Brazil inspired his love for making real business happen in challenging environments. Based currently in EMEA, Simon nevertheless travels regularly to Deutsche Bank’s core emerging markets, notably Africa and the Middle East.
